Deck Builder in Wake Forest & Raleigh
Decks are what we do best. We design and build custom decks throughout the Triangle, and the owner, Sam Ridge, is on your job site every day the work is happening.
Whether you are replacing a deck that has seen better days or adding one where there has never been a deck before, you get the same thing from us. Honest pricing, clear communication, and a deck that is built to last.

New Decks & Total Deck Replacement
Most of the calls we get are for a total deck replacement. An old deck that has started to rot, boards that flex underfoot, railings that feel loose, or a structure that was never built quite right in the first place. We tear out the old deck, deal with whatever we find underneath, and build you a new one that is safe, solid, and made to last for years.
New deck installations are the same work, just in a spot where there has never been a deck before. We help you think through size, shape, height, stairs, and how the deck connects to your home and your yard so the finished space actually fits the way you live.
Wood Decks & Composite Decks
There are two main ways to build a deck, and we are happy to build either one. The right choice comes down to your budget and how much maintenance you want to deal with down the road.
Pressure treated wood is the solid budget option. It costs less up front and looks great when it is new. The trade off is upkeep. Wood needs to be cleaned, stained, or sealed every couple of years to keep it looking good.
Composite is the upgrade we usually recommend. It costs more at the start, but it lasts far longer, it does not rot, and it never needs to be stained or sealed. A quick wash is about all the maintenance it ever asks for. When you add up the years and the upkeep you skip, composite is often the better long term value.

Deck Extensions & Additions
Sometimes the deck you have is fine, there is just not enough of it. If you want more room for a table, a grill, a hot tub, or just more space to spread out, we can extend your existing deck or add on to it.
We match the new work to what is already there so it looks like one deck that was always meant to be that size, not an obvious add on.
What Goes Into a Bright Ridge Deck
A deck is only as good as the parts you cannot see once it is finished. We pay attention to the footings, the framing, the fasteners, and the connections to your house, because that is what keeps a deck safe and solid for the long haul. A deck that looks great but flexes underfoot or pulls away from the wall over time was not built right, and we will not put our name on something like that.
We also build with your home and your yard in mind. The size, the height, where the stairs land, and how the deck flows out from your back door all change how much you actually use the space. Sam thinks those details through with you up front so the finished deck fits the way you live.

Deck Repair
Not every deck needs to be torn out. If yours is structurally sound but needs new railings, fresh boards on the existing frame, or a new set of stairs, a repair may be all you need. We handle deck repairs of all sizes.

- Clear written proposals and honest pricing with no surprises
- Steady communication from the first phone call to the final walkthrough
- A clean, respectful job site and a one year workmanship warranty on every project
What Does a New Deck Cost?
The honest answer is that it depends. The size of the deck, the material you choose, the height off the ground, the number of stairs, and the railing style all move the price. A small ground level wood deck and a large raised composite deck with custom railings are very different projects. Rather than throw out a number that does not mean anything, we give you a clear written proposal after we have actually seen your project, so the price you get is the price for your deck.
