Wake Forest born and raised
Sam Ridge was born and raised right here in Wake Forest, which makes him something of a rarity these days. In a town that has grown this fast, most folks moved in over the last decade or two and watched it change around them. Sam grew up with it. He knows these streets and these neighborhoods, and he knows how people here expect to be treated.
He has been building since he was twenty. That is more than fifteen years of hands on residential construction and carpentry, from the framing all the way through the finish work. He studied engineering at NC State, and that training still shows in the way he plans a build and thinks a problem through on site before it turns into a bigger one.
Sam started Bright Ridge Construction after watching homeowners get let down by the same things again and again. Calls that never came back. Crews that stopped showing up. Projects that dragged months past what was promised. He built this company to be the opposite of that, and to treat every home like it matters, because in his own town it does.
When he is not on a job site, Sam is almost always outside. He once hiked the Appalachian Trail from one end to the other, Georgia to Maine, all two thousand plus miles of it. These days he stays busy cycling, hiking and backpacking, tending a garden, and keeping bees, with some weightlifting in the garage to round it out. The patience it takes to keep a beehive is the same patience he brings to a build. He does not rush the parts that matter.
